What is a fanlisting?
A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. The Man
James Hetfield born was on August 3, 1963, in Downey, Los Angeles County, California. He is of English, German, and Irish descent.Hetfield's father, Virgil (a truck driver who later left the family) and mother, Cynthia (a light opera singer) were strict adherents to Christian Science, and accordingly, much of James' young life revolved around Christian Science.
In accordance with their beliefs, Hetfield's parents strongly disapproved of medicine or any other medical treatment and remained loyal to their faith even as Cynthia was dying from cancer.
Cynthia's death and Hetfield's subsequently turbulent relationship with religion have both been the focal point of many Metallica lyrics throughout the years — the songs "Mama Said", "Leper Messiah", "Dyers Eve", "Until It Sleeps", and "The God That Failed," are about Hetfield's parents.Ancient Egypt is also a focal point of many of Hetfield's lyrics.
Hetfield was nine years old when he first began piano lessons, after which he took on his brother David's drums and finally, at the age of fourteen, he began to play guitar.
Hetfield identifies Aerosmith as having been his main musical influence as a child [5], and has said that they were the reason why he wanted to play guitar. Other bands and musicians such as Motörhead, ZZ Top, Black Sabbath, Saxon, Diamond Head, Johnny Cash, Kiss, Rush, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, The Who, Queen, Waylon Jennings, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Ted Nugent, Anvil, AC/DC, Blue Öyster Cult, Venom, Led Zeppelin, The Ramones, and Thin Lizzy also had a major influence on his musical tastes.
